Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This policy explains what data Ingest Africa ("we") collects when you use Ingest, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your name, email, workspace name, and billing details.
- Customer records: the contacts and notes you add (names, phone numbers, appointment or payment details).
- Message data: reminder content and delivery status for messages sent through Ingest.
- Usage data: basic analytics about how the app is used, collected without identifying individual customers.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service — storing records, sending your reminders, and running integrations.
- To manage billing and your subscription.
- To provide support and improve the product.
- To send service updates and, if you opt in, product news. You can unsubscribe anytime.
3. Sharing
We don't sell your data. We only share it with providers we need to run Ingest: WhatsApp (Meta) and SMS gateways for message delivery, payment providers for billing, and our hosting provider. We may also disclose data if required by law.
4. Retention and security
We keep your data while your workspace is active. If you delete your workspace, we delete its data within 30 days. We use encryption in transit and at rest, and restrict access to data to people who need it.
5. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data from within the app, or by emailing us. If you're in a region with data protection laws (e.g. the Nigeria Data Protection Act or GDPR), you may also have the right to correct, restrict, or object to processing of your data.
